The TURBOSOUND NuQ PRO NuQ122 is an 1,800 Watt switchable active/passive two way full range loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide range of portable speech and music sound reinforcement applications. The NuQ122 is designed to work in conjunction with TURBOSOUND loudspeaker management systems, providing the optimum performance for FOH, side fill and monitor applications as well as offering considerable flexibility to readily adapt to varying venue requirements.

The NuQ122 loudspeaker features a carbon fibre loaded 10" neodymium low frequency driver with low mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminium dome 1" neodymium motor high frequency compression driver on a rotatable 80° horizontal by 50° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide matched with an internal passive crossover network in a reflex-loaded enclosure. Bi-amp mode can be enabled by means of a rear panel switch. The comparatively short HF flare allows accurate physical alignment of the HF and LF devices, and ensures that the wavefront is shaped smoothly while giving excellent pattern control. The waveguide can be rotated through 90° within the enclosure, making it possible to swap the horizontal and vertical coverage patterns.

The cabinet is constructed from 15 mm (5/8") birch plywood and includes a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. A recessed flush handle is provided for easy handling and it is finished in hard wearing semi matt black or optional white textured paint. Its symmetrical cabinet shape, together with the possibility to rotate the HF horn pattern, creates an additional role as mirrored left/right monitor wedges and lip-fill applications. The cabinet includes internal M10 and M8 threaded rigging points for use with TURBOSOUND wall and ceiling brackets and OmniMount* brackets and optional flying yokes and swivel brackets, allowing it to be permanently installed or mounted on straight poles or speaker stands. A rear panel connector plate carries two Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures.
